Just a reminder that 8th graders who apply to Wake County magnet schools or plan to attend their Wake County base schools have to be assigned a new student id number.

Here’s how:

• Apply in person at the WCPSS office at 5625 Dillard Drive (It’s across the street and just behind the Home Depot in Cary at Crossroads.)
• Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am – 3pm.
• Bring:
  • A utility bill
  • Your child’s birth certificate or passport (if you bring their passport you’ll have to provide their birth certificate later)
  • Parent or guardian’s drivers license
