A parent just sent in the following excellent suggestion:

I just went to Readers Corner on Hillsborough St and they have a lot of the books that have been assigned for the literary circles.  For example they had 10 copies of The Red Badge of Courage.  They might be a good resource for parents if they have had any trouble finding any of the books.  

I bought “The Lovely Bones” there last night for $2.95, which is considerably cheaper than Amazon and supports a local business.
