For the first list of camp options – see this posting.
Below are some additional child care possibilities for elementary parents as you await the opening of the school.

It is the responsibility of the parents to vet the organizations to determine whether they are viable options.

Eleos
I have been speaking with Debbie Medlin with Eleos in Garner, and they are willing to extend their summer camps for the week of Aug 18th-22nd, as long as they have 10 kids. Unfortunately, they would not be able to have camp the week of August 25th because they will be gone on a mission. If they have enough interest they are willing to have camp any other weeks until the elementary school is open. The cost of the camp is only $80 a week. My daughter London went there for dance camp and loved it. The contact information is below:

O.A.S.I.S.
My name is Lynell Coston and I am the CEO/Executive Director of O.A.S.I.S. Outreach, Inc. & O.A.S.I.S. Foundation of NC, two community-based programs located at 1005 E. Martin Street, just moments away from the new Exploris location. I am reaching out to you because several of your future Exploris Elementary & Middle School parents are also parents whose children have participated in our after-school program and summer camp this year. They have informed me that there have been some delays that are preventing the school from opening on August 18th, as scheduled. I wanted to extend the opportunity for O.A.S.I.S. to partner with Exploris during this time. Our summer program is scheduled to end next Thursday August 14th. However, I would be more than willing to extend our program to accommodate the families whose children will be attending Exploris.
We are committed to creating an positive environment and an affordable opportunity that allows our students to explore, cultivate, and enrich their gifts and talents. For $65/week & a one time $25 enrollment fee, students who attend O.A.S.I.S. experience quality programming that includes a breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, tutoring, innovative STEM related activities, character education, structured recreation, health and wellness, and group activities that include the arts, music, dance, fun and educational field trips and much more.
Community leaders often frequent our program to talk to our participants on subjects that include leadership, entrepreneurship, decision making, future goals, academic success, healthy living and more. We also have a very engaging parental involvement and enrichment component to our program. We believe that providing the necessary tools, resources and information to our parents we can promote overall mental, physical and emotional well-being amongst the family.
O.A.S.I.S. has been providing services and programs to children and families in NC for almost 10 years. We are committed to preparing our children to be able to compete on a global level and we excited about Exploris potentially joining us in these efforts.
