Thanks to those parents who have signed up for the PTO Work Day at the elementary school campus for this coming Sunday. It is not too late to sign-up (or simply show up) as there are some slots still available and a new project has been added (tilling the butterfly garden plots) – see www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C0C4FA9A822A64-spring/.
In addition, after two “pallet bench” prototypes were built this past weekend, it was determined that the following additional supplies are needed to help make that project more efficient:
— long extension cords for power tools
— reciprocating saw(s) with metal cutting blades that will cut through nails and blades that will cut through wood
— nail punches to counter sink nails
— pallet buster (tool to make the job easier and will allow us to salvage more of the pallets for use) – see example at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs5qsWfGLf0
If you have any of these tools or items that you can bring on Saturday, please do so.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to e-mail David Wisz, PTO-Vice President of Building & Grounds, at dwisz@bdixon.com
