Our most urgent needs for next year are President, Vice President, Communications Chair, Fundraising Chair, Hospitality Chair, and Faculty Liaison.
Elections will take place June 1. The PTO Board meets this Wednesday, May 18 at 6:30pm on Zoom. Join us this Wednesday to learn more and meet the team!

| Executive Board Position | Description of Duties |
| President | Plans agenda and conducts PTO meetings. Contact with Admin team. Serves as active voting member on the Exploris School Board. Work closely with Communications Chair to publicize the PTO. Lead PTO Executive board. Communicate on Slack. |
| Vice President | Shadows the President to take that position following year. Should hold another position within the PTO. Serves as active voting member on the Exploris Foundation Board. |
| Treasurer | Organizes budget, gives monthly reports, handles reimbursement and banking. |
| Secretary | Keeps minutes at PTO meetings, organizes and maintains the PTO Google Drive. |
| Building & Grounds Chair | Helps facilitate two school workdays per campus. Keeps in contact with Admin/front desk at each campus to help throughout year. |
| Communications Chair | Publishes Monday Minute and updates the PTO Website (WordPress). Create content and manage PTO social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) Promotion and graphics for PTO events. Contact with Admin for info to communicate to parents. School Directory. Carpool map. |
| Fundraising Chair | Organize Dine-In nights. Passive Fundraising organization and promotion, Store loyalty, Amazon Smile, Box Tops. Art by Me fundraiser. Spirit Wear. |

| Volunteer Coordinator | setup signup genius for all PTO events, help with front office volunteer coordination |
| Crew Parent Lead | help fill grade level parents and check in throughout the year |
| Teacher Appreciation Week | organize events for Teacher Appreciation week (typically begining of May) |
| Staff Birthdays | coordinate and distribute staff birthday presents throughout the year |
| Staff Meals | Teacher workday meals through the year(typically one before school start and one middle) |

| Spring Family Day | organize vendor fair, games, food for entire school event |
| Middle School Dances | middle school only events. organize a dance committee to plan dances (traditionally fall and spring) |
| 5th grade graduation | planned by current 4th grade crew parents. work with 5th grade teachers |

| Angel Tree | setup survey, sign up genius for in need families. coordinate drop off/pickup of items. (takes place in December) |
| Backup Lunches/Snacks | refill both campuses on snacks and backup lunches monthly or as needed. |
| Food Pantry | work with Michelle Duncan to continue growing this. help with collecting and distributing food pantry items. |

Any dollar amount is appreciated and divided among the Exploris team. Our total goal is $10,000.
Online donations are being collected via Square. Square accepts all major credit cards, Google Pay, and Cash App Pay. Thanks to everyone who has already contributed!

Middle School Dance- THANK YOU!
Exploris Middle School students had a fantastic time at the spring dance on Friday night, May 13! Thank you to our PTO Dance Committee Carrie Kressmann, Emily McIntyre, Dana Deaton, and Tammie Guyer, and to the many parent and teacher volunteers who helped out with this fun Exploris event. Join the Exploris Foundation! The foundation is the fundraising arm of the school. We are looking for board members to serve a 3-year term. We especially need someone to run the school’s annual fund drive, which aims to raise $100,000 in donations each year. Contact annualfund@exploris.org to apply.
