Last Chance for Carpool Map, Volunteering, Passive Fundraising and More!

Volunteering at Exploris

There are a lot of ways to get involved at Exploris. Please fill out this online form to see available opportunities and let us know a little about yourself!

EXPLORATIONS:

One big need right now at Exploris is helping with Explorations/ Electives. These programs will start Friday, September 9. Do you have a skill you would like to teach? A class you would like to lead? Check out the specific asks from Middle School and Elementary School. If you are interested in getting involved with the middle school Exploration but you can’t commit to the whole session, please reach out to callie@exploris.org, all help is appreciated!

Family Carpool

The Carpool Map will close to new submissions this Wednesday, August 31. If you would like to be on the map and have access to the map, you must submit the form before the deadline. We have had over 160 submissions so far!

Password Protected: The Family Map and the School Directory will be posted on password protected pages on the PTO website. You will be emailed the password once your information has been added. Please do not share the passwords publicly. Get on the Map! Even if you’re not sure if you will be carpooling, please fill out the form.  Your address will be on the map, making it easier to find Exploris families in your neighborhood.

Passive Fundraising:

Did you know that you can earn money for Exploris just by shopping like you normally do? We have partnered with Lowes, Harris Teeter, Publix and Amazon Smile, all you have to do is sign up and we get a % back from your purchase! Please note, that with grocery stores you need to re-signup each year!

General School Reminders:

  • SEPTEMBER CALENDAR: September 5– Labor Day (No School), September 26– Rosh Hashanah (No School), September 27– Flex Day.
  • NUT FREE: This year we have multiple students at both campus who have severe nut allergies, therefore BOTH Middle School and Elementary Campuses are nut free this year.
  • ATTENDANCE: School attendance is one of the most important factors in your child’s
    education! We are here to support your family in any way we can. Please do not hesitate to
    reach out to leadership@exploris.org and/or counselor@exploris.org if you have any issues getting your scholar to school each day. Exploris is required by state law to send
    attendance notification letters home when your scholar is absent for 3 days, 6 days, and 10
    days (total, not necessarily consecutive!). Please know that communicating with us is the
    best way to help us help you!
  • COVID: Masks are recommended and required if recovering. ANY SYMPTOMS REQUIRE A NEGATIVE TEST TO RETURN. EMAIL PICTURE OR SCREENSHOT OF NEGATIVE TEST RESULT TO CREW TEACHER. Quarantine protocol is 5 days out of school and then students can return but must wear a mask for 5 days. Onsite PCR testing and rapid testing are available at Exploris.
