Monday Minute: PTO Meeting, Thanksgiving Food Drive, Thank a Teacher and Angel Tree Kick Off

Hello Exploris Community!

We hope you are feeling as THANKFUL as we are to be a member of the Exploris Family. As holidays and vacations approach, we know life gets busy, hopefully reading the Monday Minute each week helps you stay connected.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, where we focus on family, friends, community and gratitude, we have compiled some ways that you can give back and make a difference directly in our Exploris community. There are opportunities to help provide Thanksgiving meals, or to provide gifts to those who might not otherwise get any this holiday season, or even something that costs no money, like making Thank You Cards for teachers and staff to show them how much we value the time and efforts spent nurturing and teaching our scholars (details on all of these opportunities below).

We on the PTO thank each and every member of our community who has stepped up this year to help in some way lift up our community.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

We are putting together Food Boxes for families this coming week.  We’d love the extra help to meet the needs of our community!

Thank a Teacher or Staff Member

This year for Thanksgiving we hope that you will join us in celebrating the teachers and staff at Exploris. The PTO has designed some Thanksgiving Teacher Card Templates to help your kids get started.

The first is our postcard template, you just need to print double sided and you will have 4 postcards on one sheet!! They are designed to be colored, cut out and filled out by the students (You just cut them into 4 equal postcards). The second is our stationary template for students who want to write more to their teachers. Please feel free to use these or have your student design their own cards. We would love to see an outpouring of thankfulness to the people that support and teach our scholars. Plan on having your students deliver them directly to their recipients by November 18th (our last day before break).

Exploris Angel Tree

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, we are excited to kick off our 2022 Exploris Angel Tree! Let’s wrap our Exploris community in love and help make sure that every student has a magical holiday. You can donate gifts from the SignUpGenius or money to go towards gifts using either Venmo or Paypal. Deadline is December 9th, so we have enough time to get them ready for the families.
