We would love to have you, your talents, and your interests as an instructor in our Explorations program at the elementary school! We are still in need of instructors for our first session of Explorations starting August 31st

As of August 17, we are still in need of 12 teachers.
Please contact Eugene or Jamie ASAP if you can offer a class!

What is Explorations?  It’s anything you want it to be.  It’s anything you love and would like to share with Exploris Elementary students.

Class Ideas
Some past classes include foreign languages, Harry Potter crafts, LEGO robotics, mini chefs, art, outdoor skills, sports, Geocaching, coding, gardening, science experiments, and many more!

What does an Explorations instructor do?  Teach a multi-class session (session schedule is below), and share your passion with our students.  Average class size for Explorations is 12 students, but we can make accomodations.

Where does Explorations take place?  Each Explorations instructor is given an appropriate space at the elementary school.  Off-site classes are possible if within walking distance, or if enough drivers can be arranged.

When does Explorations take place?  Fridays, 9 a.m. — 11 a.m.  K-1 students attend two sessions for one hour each, while 2-5 students attend one session for two consecutive hours.

Who do I contact to seize this wonderful opportunity?  Eugene Wheeler (ewheeler@exploris.org) and Jamie Butler (jbutler@exploris.org)

In addition, if you are a business, you may hand out a round of flyers/cards/etc to the entire elementary school (yes, free advertising!)

Hello potential volunteers!
We are looking for community volunteers and instructors who are interested in helping us run our elective type elementary school program. The program is divided into separate sessions throughout the year and classes can either be one session or span multiple sessions. They always take place at the same time of day so you can accommodate your schedule in advance. Sessions can be run by multiple volunteers as long as it is covered. Past classes have included touring local restaurants, cooking, playing Quidditch, programming, stop motion animation, foreign languages, gardening, science, etc. These classes are run by the facilitators who have an interest in a particular subject or hobby and can be about anything! These classes take place on campus or off site depending what it is.

This is a perfect opportunity for those seeking a position in education and want to gain experience or others who would just love to share their hobbies and interests with the local community.
