1. Exploris Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-10, 2019
It’s time to show our Elementary and Middle School Exploris Teachers and Staff how much we appreciate them – it’s Teacher Appreciation Week! May 6th – 10th, 2019 is the week we are going to let our Exploris Teachers and Staff at both campuses know how grateful we are for all they do.
The PTO needs a few more volunteers to help spoil our teachers. Items and supplies are provided, we just need your time!! We need at least ONE volunteer for the elementary school on Wednesday 8:30-10:30 (or until you’re done!) to assemble “Nacho Average Teacher” packs, and ONE volunteer for the middle school Friday 10:45-12:45 to help with the catered lunch. Of course many hands make light work, so we would love to have as many volunteers as possible. Thank you so much for helping us support our teachers!
Each teacher and staff member will receive a gifted Hand Lotion, Hand Sanitizer or Hand Soap tagged to remind them they are “Hands Down the Best.”

Catered Breakfast at each campus, sponsored by the PTO.
Wednesday, May 8
Nacho Average Teacher
Each teacher and staff member will receive a Nacho package – chips & dip, salsa, etc bagged and labeled to let them know they are “Nacho Average Teacher!”
Thursday, May 9
You’re my super hero because…
This is your students opportunity to create and deliver fan mail, thank you notes, tokens of appreciation, mementos…etc to let their teacher and teaching staff know they are appreciated. We will be sending home “You’re My Super Hero because…” paperwork to help get your fan mail started, but feel free to get creative. We ask that you also make sure your students remember our support staff as well.

2. PTO Silent Auction – THANK YOU!!
The Exploris PTO Silent Auction and Raffle concluded on Saturday at Exploris Family Day and we were thrilled. We raised $13,000 for the Exploris PTO budget. All of this money will directly benefit teachers and students. Thank you to everyone who participated in our fundraiser, and special thanks to all of our great sponsors!
*If you need to pick up an item, Tammie Guyer will be at the picnic tables by the Elementary School on THURSDAY, May 9, from 3:30-4:00. She will distribute any remaining items to winners at that time. If you are unable to meet Tammie, please email us at explorisptonews@gmail.com and we’ll make arrangements to get you your items!
Join us next Monday evening, May 13, for the May PTO Meeting. 6:30pm at the Middle School, followed by social time at the Morgan Street Food Hall.
We will be discussing our fundraiser results and determining the final PTO budget for the 2019-20 school year. If you have opinions about the PTO budget, please attend!!!

Each month the school publishes a newsletter that is emailed to all parents. Please read it for important grade level updates and information about the new building!
