From Our PTO President…

Dear Parents,

The PTO is actively planning for our new school year!   We have a few very important events occurring right before the start of school and need your assistance.  Please remember that we have graduated a large number of volunteers, have only rising 7th and 8th grade parents in our volunteer pool at this time, and can really, seriously, use your help!

Please mark your calendars for:

  • Saturday, August 3 – Handyman Workday @ Exploris 8-11:30am – Please come help spruce up the school for a good first impression before the start of the school year!  Projects currently on the wish list include repainting and organizing the downstairs fitness room and planting flowers and general cleanup around the exterior of the building, along with other smaller projects.  If you are available to help, please sign up at  If you have any questions, please email David Wisz, our VP of Building and Grounds.
  • Monday, August 5 – Meet the Teacher 12-2pm OR 4:30-6:30pm with 6th grade ice cream social at 5:30 (all grades/parents welcome) – Please help greet and assist our new and returning families.  Parents are needed to sell spirit wear and answer general questions.  Students are needed to answer questions about clubs and exchange programs.  For more information and to sign up, visit:   If you have any questions, please email Cheryl Rodgers.
